Ride to the Top of the Rockies Rally July 15-17 2021

Got an email from the Colorado BMW club that the 2021 TOR Rally is on!

One of my favorites and I’m going again this year.

The TOR rally is mainly a camping rally but for the past several years I’ve been staying at a Mom n Pop place the Redwood Arms Motel about 1/2 mile down the street.

The Plan:

Tues July 13th – I’m trailering my bike to Raton NM and leaving my rig at the Summerlan RV park, Then overnighting at the Raton Pass Motor Inn.

Wed – July 14th – Riding from Raton to Gunnsion Western Inn

Thur – Sat July 15-17 – Riding to Paonia and staying 3 nights at the Redwood Arms Motel.

Sun July 18 – Heading home. Riding to Raton to pick up my rig and then trailering to Amarillo and overnighting at the Hilton Tru hotel.

Mon July19 – Trailering the remainder of the way home.

While at the rally I plan on doing some local scenic rides. One day I’m going up the Grand Mesa. I may run over to Colorado National Monument and ride Rim Rock Road..

Check your calendar and see if this is something you might like to do. Make sure you get reasonable cancellation policies just in case you have to back out.
