Waco Mammoth National Monument – #6 in the Saturday Tourist Series

“Columbian mammoths roamed across what is present-day Texas thousands of years ago. Today, the fossil specimens represent the nation’s first and only recorded evidence of a nursery herd of ice age Columbian mammoths.”

No entrance fee but there is a $5 ($4 Seniors) fee for tours. Tours every 30 minutes.

National Parks Pass does not count toward tour fees.

Ride leaves from the Saturday Grapevine Pancake Breakfast about 9am.

Back Road route takes about 2.5hrs
