Ozark AR Escape

This year instead of going to Eureka Springs, AR for the Falls Colors Ride we are changing it up and heading to Arkansas for some spring riding.  Ozark Ar is at the southern end of the Pig Trail, AR 23.  You’ll be in the heart of some great roads to ride.  Head north to Eureka Springs or Harrison or head south toward Mount Magazine and Mena. Wherever you ride you can’t go wrong.   The area is also known for the spring colors as well as the fall colors so this time out we will take in the spring colors.  We’ll be there from May 16 thru 19, 2024 arriving Thursday and departing Sunday.  When you call The Oxford Inn be sure to tell them that you are with the BMWDFW Motorcycle Club.  The Tourmeister will post several GPS routes on the Groups IO list and for download below along with several suggested day rides in and around the Ozark area.  The total mileage is 392 with the travel time seeming long at 8.5 hours riding time.  I believe the travel time is off as it averages 46 mph and we all know that we ride a little bit faster than that.

The ride up on Thursday will begin at the usaul QT at 10 and 820 loop in Hurst. From there we will head out to Bonham and meet at the Breakfast Stop to pick up anybody that lives on the north side of the Metroplex. This is a great place to get a breakfast so if you arrive early enough you can get a bite to eat. They open up at 6:00 am. From there we will head out to the Southern Belle Restaurant in Heavner OK and then onto Ozark.

Dinner is planned for Saturday night at Wederkehr Wienkeller Restaurant which is about 8 miles away. I would like to get RSVP’s for the dinner as it is suggested that reservations be made. https://www.wiederkehrwines.com
