Hemmings Motor News Great Race – Nocona TX

Got a heads_up from Ronnie Weinzapfel that the Hemmngs Motor News Great Race is stopping over in Nocona

on Sunday June 20th. Might be a fun day trip up to Nocona to check it out.

The Plan:

Sunday June 20th

Meet at the usual QT Station on TX10 and Loop 820

KSU @ 9:30am

Ride West to the Weatherford area and take FM 920 up to Bridgeport

1655 thru Alvord to Forestburg

and FM 677 to Saint Jo

Lunch stop in St Jo at the Lazy Heart Grill

Ride up to Indian Bridge and the Flaming Prairie Dog Tunnel historical marker for a visit.

On to Nocona and the Great Race stopping at the Horton Classic Car Museum

later that evening, head back to DFW.
