NEW START TIME! Weather is too good. KSU is 8am now so we can beat some of the SW Texas heat.

This ride is intended to get us back into shape to ride and hopefully ease some of the stress from sheltering at home for the past weeks. I’m NOT intending to get back to the public the way we were. It’s a ride down and back without visiting any sites/attractions and avoiding the general public. I won’t be doing any of the famous Hill Country roads even though the down/back roads are pretty entertaining.

And Junction it is.
I favor this route because I recently pre-rode it and I know where the stops are  located.

If you want to go, get accommodations with a liberal cancellation policy. If it’s raining, I’m not going.

Ride down on Saturday – Ride home Sunday
Leaving the usual Hurst QT at 8:30am on Saturday May 30th
1st break/gas in Hamilton.
Lunch – stop at Subway in Goldthwaite and grab lunch to go. (or bring a sack lunch) We’ll ride to the city park for lunch. There’s plenty of room to spread out.
2nd break/gas in Mason.
Overnight in Junction – Dinner is Cooper’s BBQ take-out. They have tables outside in the back, or we can take it back to the hotel and eat under the shade trees.

Lunch Stumpy’s Grill in Granbury… They have a lot of room outdoors so we can spread out.
