2025 Big Bend – Alpine
The trip to the Big Bend area will include a ride around Davis Mountain and a trip into Big Bend National Park. There are a lot of great opportunities to ride some great scenic roads. The Davis Mountain Loop, FM 170 River Road between Lajitas to Presidio, Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive, and Basin Drive to the Chisos Mountain Lodge. Most of you have ridden these roads plenty of times, but they can never get old, and the scenery is great.
The plan is to take 2 days to get to Alpine, 2 days riding around the area, and a 1 day slab back home.
The Basin Drive and the Lodge are scheduled to start construction in May 2025 and last about 2 years. This will be our last chance for a couple of years to ride up to the Lodge and each lunch.

I’m in!
I am going to pickup a new to me bike in Alpine on April 4th. My trailer will be empty on the way down. Driving straight through on Friday. If anyone or two would like to trailer their bike down with me or one on the return trip, let me know.
